Here’s a fun and easy project for your vegetable garden and you can recycle at the same time.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
What you need:
- Scissors
- Aluminum can
- Wire
- Wire cutters/pliers
- Permanent marker
Step One: Cut the can into strips
Step Two: Bend the ends of each strip toward the logo
Step Three: Cut and Bend the wire
Step Four: Bend label onto wire stand
Step Five: Label the tag
Place tag in the garden. They also work well in pots when transplanting or rooting cuttings.

Thank you for the fun and informative video. You kids are cute and remind me of my own grandkids. My husband and I have many gardens (100s of plants) around our property and we are constantly being asked the names of flowers, shrubs and trees. Next summer we are hosting a community garden tour and need to have everything well identified. Hope your idea works for us because it won’t cost “an arm and a leg!”

I like the idea of using aluminum for the tag instead of the paper card stock I’ve used on mine! Very nice!

Thank you so much for posting the directions for making the plant tags. These are the ONLY type of tags that work for me and I had been procrastinating about buying more. Now I can make my own!! Never new it was so easy – thanks again.
